Konsensus der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Kardiologie – Herz- und Kreislaufforschung – und der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Thorax-, Herz- und Gefäßchirurgie zur Behandlung der Mitralklappeninsuffizienz

Zusammenfassung

Die Mitralklappeninsuffizienz gehört zu den häufigsten Herzklappenfehlern in den westlichen Industrienationen. Die primäre Mitralklappeninsuffizienz ist bedingt durch Veränderungen an Herzklappe oder Klappenhalteapparat selbst, während die sekundäre Mitralklappeninsuffizienz sich in der Folge von pathologischen Veränderungen im Bereich des linken Ventrikels entwickelt. Die diagnostische Aufarbeitung erfordert zahlreiche kardiologische Untersuchungsmethoden, im Zentrum steht die Echokardiographie mit Erfassung semiquantitativer und quantitativer Parameter. Die Therapie der Mitralklappeninsuffizienz sollte interdisziplinär zwischen Kollegen der Kardiologie und Herzchirurgie entschieden werden. Neben der konservativen Therapie und der Herzinsuffizienzbehandlung stehen operative und interventionelle Methoden zur Behandlung der Mitralklappeninsuffizienz zur Verfügung. Die Therapieentscheidung wird beeinflusst durch die Art des Mitralklappenfehlers wie auch durch begleitende Komorbiditäten.
