Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Die Übung und Ausbildung des Chirurgen ist zentral für die Sicherheit des Patienten bei einer Op. Durch die Zunahme an operativen Einrichtungen mit entsprechender Verschiebung des Op.-Portfolios an Ausbildungskliniken, rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen und gestiegene Qualitätsanforderungen wird die hergebrachte chirurgische Ausbildung erschwert. Die Übung, die notwendig ist, um zunehmend komplexere chirurgische Operationen durchzuführen, ist schwerer zu erlangen.

Fragestellung

Gibt es Alternativen zur traditionellen Ausbildung?

Material und Methoden

Es handelt sich um eine Literaturrecherche mit Analyse der Entwicklung, Umsetzung und Evaluierung von chirurgischen Simulationsumgebungen.

Ergebnisse

Op.-Simulationen reichen über Sektionen, Op.-Kurse und Tierexperimente bis zu physikalischen und virtuellen Modellen. Sie schaffen eine sichere Umgebung, in der Fertigkeiten erlernt und geübt werden können, ohne Patienten zu gefährden. Diese Umgebungen haben spezifische Stärken und Mängel.

Schlussfolgerung

Keine einzelne Simulationsumgebung für sich kann eine substanzielle chirurgische Ausbildung garantieren. Methoden müssen in einem zusammenhängenden Ausbildungscurriculum kombiniert und integriert werden. Es wird Aufgabe der chirurgischen Gesellschaften sein, die Basis für die Ausbildung zukünftiger Generationen zu legen.
