Kortikosteroide zur Behandlung der Adhäsiven Kapsulitis der Schulter

Zusammenfassung

Die adhäsive Kapsulitis ist eine der häufigsten Ursachen für Beschwerden mit Funktionseinschränkung der Schulter. Die genaue Pathogenese ist unklar, es wird jedoch eine abnormale Produktion von Zytokinen beschrieben, welche zu einer reaktiven Fibrosierung der Kapsel und des Rotatorenintervalls führen. Die konservative Behandlung beinhaltet neben Analgetika und physiotherapeutischer Übungsbehandlung auch den Einsatz oral oder intra-artikulär verabreichter Kortikosteroide. Diese zeigen in der Behandlung der adhäsiven Kapsulitis der Schulter eine schnelle Schmerzreduktion und Verbesserung der Schulterbeweglichkeit und sind in unseren Augen ein adäquates und komplikationsarmes Mittel zur Behandlung der idiopathischen Frozen Shoulder.
