Zusammenfassung

Angesichts der rasanten Entwicklungen wird kaum bezweifelt, dass die künstliche Intelligenz (KI) die pathologische Diagnostik nachhaltig beeinflussen wird. Ob allerdings KI in erster Linie ein weiteres diagnostisches Hilfsmittel, wie z. B. die Immunhistochemie, wird oder pathologisch-ärztliche Expertise auch ersetzen kann, ist noch offen. Die meisten aktuellen Studien über KI in der Histopathologie befassen sich mit relativ einfachen Fragestellungen, die noch nicht die Komplexität der Diagnostik abbilden. Während es hingegen bereits molekularpathologische Verfahren gibt, die ohne KI nicht denkbar wären, muss sich erst noch zeigen, inwieweit KI in Zukunft auch bei schwierigen histomorphologischen Differenzialdiagnosen helfen kann.
