Retinale Lasertherapie – Fehler vermeiden

Zusammenfassung

Auch in der Ära der intravitrealen Injektionstherapien (IVOM) zur Behandlung retinaler Erkrankungen wie der altersabhängigen Makuladegeneration (AMD), der proliferativen diabetischen Retinopathie (DR) und des diabetischen Makulaödems (DME) sowie proliferativen Stadien und/oder einem Makulaödem nach venösen Gefäßverschlüssen (RVO) hat die konventionelle retinale Lasertherapie noch immer ihren Stellenwert. Die Wirkung der fokalen Laserung beim DME und beim Makulaödem nach Venenastverschluss ist belegt, ebenso ist der Einsatz des Lasers bei der panretinalen Behandlung proliferativer Netzhauterkrankungen sowie bei der Pexie von retinalen Foramina unstrittig. Ergänzt wird das Spektrum durch die Behandlung seltenerer Erkrankungen, wie z. B. kapillärer Hämangioblastome, Makroaneurysmata, und subhyaloidaler Blutungen. Das Wissen um die korrekte Durchführung dieser Laserbehandlungen erscheint im Schatten der IVOM aktuell aber immer mehr ins Hintertreffen zu geraten, was zu einer Ansammlung unnötiger Fehler führen kann. Ziel dieses Manuskriptes ist es daher, anhand von Fallbeispielen fehlerhafter oder unzureichender Behandlungen den Blick für die korrekte Indikation und Durchführung einer retinalen Laserbehandlung zu schärfen.
