Zusammenfassung

Die seltenen primären Kopfschmerzen stellen die behandelnden Neurologen häufig vor komplexe Entscheidungen, da sie in aller Regel einen sorgfältigen Ausschluss sekundärer Ursachen erfordern und es zur Behandlung keine Ergebnisse aus randomisierten placebokontrollierten Studien gibt. Dennoch weisen Daten aus Einzelfallberichten und kleinen Studien auf effektive Möglichkeiten der Behandlung hin, wobei dies eine eindeutige Zuordnung zu einem der unterschiedlichen Syndrome voraussetzt.
