Die wesentlichen Aufgaben der Notfallmedizin können mit der zeitnahen Behandlung von lebensbedrohlichen Symptomen, der Einleitung einer raschen Diagnostik zur Identifikation des zugrundeliegenden Problems sowie dem Beginn einer kausalen Therapie zusammengefasst werden. Während in der prähospitalen Notfallmedizin typischerweise die Akutbehandlung von lebensbedrohlichen Symptomen im Vordergrund steht, integriert die Versorgung von Patient:innen in der Notaufnahme alle diese notfallmedizinischen Aspekte [1]. …
