2015, Analytical BiochemistryCitation Excerpt :To initial optimized LC methods, eicosanoid standards were detected using negative ion mode electrospray ionization. A variety of solvents, gradients, and columns were tested based on prior work [25–35]. We found that a Kinetex C18 column (100 × 2.1 mm) developed using a multistep gradient with water and acetonitrile, each containing 1% acetic acid, gave satisfactory separation of the target eicosanoids in our system.
