Roles for TNF-receptor associated factor 3 (TRAF3) in lymphocyte functions
2014, Cytokine and Growth Factor ReviewsNF-κB signal triggering and termination by tumor necrosis factor receptor 2
2011, Journal of Biological ChemistryCitation Excerpt :As for the interaction of TRAF2 and TNFR2, by using sequential truncations of the receptor cytoplasmic tail (amino acids 266–439), a sequence comprising amino acids 384 to 423 was proposed to be responsible of TRAF2 recruitment (14). Further analysis of this sequence limited the TRAF2 binding motif to amino acids 402-SKEE-405 (15, 16). More recently, another TRAF2 binding site with a suggested negative regulatory role has been identified on the murine TNFR2 (17).
Roles of TRAF molecules in B lymphocyte function
2008, Cytokine and Growth Factor ReviewsThe in vivo function of a noncanonical TRAF2-binding domain in the C-terminus of CD40 in driving B-cell growth and differentiation
2007, BloodCitation Excerpt :Previously, to investigate the molecular mechanisms of CD40 signaling and how downstream signaling events control CD40-mediated immune responses, several approaches both in vitro and in vivo have been undertaken. In those studies, different TRAF-binding sites within the CD40 cytoplasmic domain have been identified.12–17 Mutagenesis of those defined TRAF-binding sites elucidated specific CD40-TRAF associations in regulating downstream signal transduction as well as controlling defined aspects of humoral immunity.18,19
