Abstract
With the advent of new meniscus reconstruction techniques and improvements in meniscus fixation, the demand for meniscus allografts has markedly increased. It is important that surgeons understand how tissue banks are organized and through which process the grafting material is handled and worked. They should also know how the graft is trimmed, stored and delivered for optimal use in the operating theatre. In this chapter, the general organization of a tissue bank will be outlined, from donor selection to final delivery of the meniscus. Sizing and preservation of the meniscus will also be discussed.
