Zusammenfassung

In der Orbita sind neben dem Augapfel mit den Knochen der Orbitawandungen, Augenmuskeln und Nerven, Fettgewebe und Drüsen Strukturen aller Keimblätter auf engstem Raum benachbart. Dies bedingt, dass unterschiedlichste Tumorentitäten in der Augenhöhle vorkommen können und besonders hohe und komplexe Anforderungen an eine adäquate Therapie nach sich ziehen. Techniken der Knochenchirurgie im Rahmen der Operationszugänge müssen mit feinsten, mikrochirurgischen Operationsverfahren in den orbitalen Weichgeweben kombiniert werden.
