Zusammenfassung

Gelenksbeschwerden und Schmerzen im Bereich des muskuloskelettalen Systems sind bei Kindern und Jugendlichen häufig. Meist sind es temporäre Beschwerden, z. B. durch Traumata. Wiederholte oder länger anhaltende Beschwerden können eine chronische Erkrankung als Ursache haben und bedürfen einer intensiveren Abklärung. Differenzialdiagnostisch kommt eine Vielzahl von Erkrankungen, die zum Teil sehr selten sind, infrage. Hier sind ggf. Spezialisten hinzuzuziehen. Gerade die Versorgung rheumaerkrankter Kinder und Jugendlicher hat in den letzten Jahren erhebliche Fortschritte gemacht. Hierbei spielen strukturelle Verbesserungen in der kinderrheumatologischen Versorgung, neue medikamentöse Therapien, Weiterentwicklungen funktioneller Therapien, multidisziplinäre Therapiekonzepte und strukturierte Patientenschulung, sowie gezielte Rehabilitationsmaßnahmen eine Rolle.
