Summary

The essential clinical features of eight cases of carotidynia are out-lined. As little is known about treatment, the effectiveness was evaluated of drugs used in some specific forms of vascular headache with similar pain characteristics. Indomethacin or flurbiprofen were shown to be potent drugs in the treatment of carotidynia.
