Multiple primitive epidural spinal hydatid cysts

Summary

A case of primitive hydatid cyst growing in the dorso-lumbar epidural space is presented, and the literature concerning this peculiar form of echinococcosis is reviewed. Diagnostic difficulties and the good surgical prognosis of epidural hydatidosis are stressed.
