Proceedings of the ESSKA Scientific Workshop on Reconstruction of the Anterior and Posterior Cruciate Ligaments

Conclusions

This document has resulted from some intense debate between members of a group experienced in cruciate ligament surgery and research. Definite recommendations had the agreement of the group, while the absence of a firm viewpoint has led to recommendations for further research.

It is hoped that the recommendations will be taken up by working surgeons, and that the system for describing graft placement, for example, will also lead to uniformity of presentation of results.

For the researcher, a whole list of projects can be found above-there is still much to do if the reconstruction of these few centimetres of soft tissue is to be properly understood!
