Nous avons utilisé, de préférence, des méthodes chromatographiques pour isoler le principe actif dePalicourea marcgravii St. Hil. (Rubiaceae), un végétal extrêmement toxiques des pâturages du Brésil. Ce principe a été identifié comme étant l'acide monofluoroacétique.
