Abstract

A 56-year-old man with a history of stent insertion in the circumflex artery two years before presented to the hospital with recurrent symptoms of angina. A 64-slice computed tomography scan was performed revealing mild in-stent and post-stent restenosis but no clear explanation for the symptoms. Coronary angiography demonstrated a severe localised stenosis of the left main coronary artery, not detected on multi-slice computed tomography, and subsequent angioplasty and placement of two stents obtained a good result.
