Zusammenfassung

Chemical Peels haben sich in den letzten 40 Jahren zu einer effektiven ambulanten Methode zur Hautverjüngung und zur Behandlung von Hautveränderungen mit medizinischen Indikationen etabliert. Vorübergehend wurde das Interesse an den Chemical Peels durch die Lasereuphorie verdrängt. Dennoch gelten bis heute die Phenolpeels — trotz möglicher Komplikationen von Narbenbildung und Hypopigmentierungen als der Goldstandard des „skin resurfacing“ [11] an denen sich andere ablative Methoden zu messen haben [21]. Es wird hier nicht nur eine theoretischer Übersicht bezüglich der Peels aufgezeigt, sondern es werden auch praktische Schritt-für-Schritt-Anweisungen gegeben.
