Zusammenfassung

Die ästhetische Medizin hat sich in den letzten 2 Jahrzehnten einer zunehmenden Beliebtheit erfreut. Dies gilt auch für die Dermatologie. In der ästhetischen Dermatologie werden minimal-invasive Verfahren bevorzugt. Dennoch sind auch diese Verfahren nicht nebenwirkungsfrei. Anhand von 4 populären Techniken – chemische Peelings, Mesotherapie, Botulinumtoxin und dermalen Fillern – werden das Spektrum bekannter unerwünschter Nebenwirkungen, ihr Management und Strategien zur Vermeidung besprochen. Ästhetische Verfahren sollten nur von kundigen, gut ausgebildeten Ärzten mit einem exzellenten medizinischen Hintergrundwissen vorgenommen werden, keinesfalls aber von Nichtmedizinern.
