Zusammenfassung

Als Internist muss man damit rechnen, Erstbehandler eines Patienten mit selten importierter hochkontagiöser, lebensbedrohlicher Erkrankung zu sein. Dies kommt sicherlich nur äußerst selten vor, hat aber enorme Konsequenzen. Man sollte daher grundsätzlich die viralen hämorrhagischen Fieber kennen: Filoviren verursachen das Ebola- und Marburg-Fieber, Arenaviren das Lassa-Fieber und südamerikanische hämorrhagische Fieber, die Bunya-Viren u. a. das hämorrhagische Krim-Kongo-Fieber. Weiterhin sollte man einige hochkontagiöse respiratorische Infektionen wie das „hantavirus pulmonary syndrome“, die Lungenpest und das „Middle East respiratory syndrome“ kennen.
