Psychomotorische Entwicklung von Kindern mit angeborenem Herzfehler

Ursachen, Prävalenz und Prävention von Entwicklungsstörungen nach Herzoperation im Säuglingsalter

Zusammenfassung

Kinder nach Korrekturoperationen komplexer Herzfehler im Neugeborenen- und Säuglingsalter mit Hilfe der Herz-Lungen-Maschine haben im Langzeitverlauf ein deutlich erhöhtes Risiko für das Auftreten psychomotorischer und psychosozialer Entwicklungsstörungen. Der vorliegende Beitrag erläutert die Wechselwirkungen zwischen patienten- und verfahrensspezifischen Risikofaktoren, insbesondere den Kenntnisstand über die sog. kongenitale Hirnerkrankung als Reifungsstörung des Zentralnervensystems schwer herzkranker Feten. Prävalenz und typische Störungsmuster für Entwicklungsdefizite in verschiedenen Lebensaltern und für unterschiedliche Herzfehler werden beschrieben. Darüber hinaus werden Empfehlungen für standardisierte neuropsychologische Entwicklungsuntersuchungen im Rahmen eines systematischen Nachsorgekonzepts für Kinder nach Herz-Lungen-Maschinen-Operation im Säuglingsalter dargelegt.
