Post-void residual (PVR) is defined as the volume of fluid remaining in the bladder at the completion of micturition [

2]. Some of the forefathers of urodynamic methodology, represented in the authorship of Ref. [
1], established the goal of optimal accuracy for the measurement of all urodynamic parameters. Thirty years later, the need for accuracy in measuring the PVR, a key indicator of bladder function, has yet to gain its due recognition. Accuracy and calibration in relation to pressure measurement, bladder filling, and uroflowmetry have been embraced, though the same cannot be said for the accuracy of PVR measurement. …
