Many of the issues raised by Nordin and colleagues [1] about our meta-analysis of the effects of calcium supplements on cardiovascular events [2] have been extensively addressed in the BMJ [3, 4] and in a review in Osteoporosis International [5]. It is unnecessary to repeat these responses, but we do wish to address new assertions and highlight errors in their analysis. …
