We read with great interest the recent article by Borggreve et al. [
1]. The authors concluded there is no conclusive evidence supporting that prophylactic embolization of hepaticoenteric arteries directly influences the risk of complications. Also, they declared the need to embolize hepaticoenteric arteries before radioembolization may be further eliminated in the future since it provides promising results of alternative techniques to prevent nontarget deposition of microspheres. However, there is an exception, the authors did not mention in their article, and we would like to elaborate on the necessity of prophylactic embolization of hepaticoenteric arteries before radioembolization in such condition. …
