Diagnose, Prophylaxe und Therapie der Osteoporose bei juveniler idiopathischer Arthritis

Zusammenfassung

Ein Verlust bzw. eine mangelnde Zunahme an Knochenmasse tritt bei der juvenilen idiopathischen Arthritis (JIA) auch unter neueren Therapieansätzen auf. Negativ wirken eine lange Krankheitsdauer mit aktiver Erkrankung und in einem gewissen Maße die Anzahl der entzündeten Gelenke (Zytokineinfluss, Inaktivität). In mehreren Studien stellte die Muskelmasse den stärksten Prädiktor für die Knochenmasse dar. Insofern muss bei allen Patienten mit JIA, die keine schnelle Remission der Erkrankung erreichen, eine Diagnostik und eine Prophylaxe bzw. Therapie des Muskel- und Knochenverlustes in Betracht gezogen werden. Die entsprechenden diagnostischen und therapeutischen Möglichkeiten werden vorgestellt.
