With regard to Dr. Anna Bianco’s comment that our paper did not include an analysis of Crohn’s disease (CD) patients with early-onset (under the age of 5 years) and family history (FH) of CD, we would like to say that we analyzed all 9,929 cases for which we had data on onset age. Our data showed that no patients with FH and onset before the age of 10 years, and that of 2433 patients with onset at 10 to 19 years, 60 patients (2.3 %) had FH. …
