Zusammenfassung

Die Unterscheidung traumatischer von degenerativ geprägten Rotatorenmanschettenläsionen ist in der täglichen Praxis von großer Bedeutung. Die Kenntnis der Anatomie und Biomechanik ist für die Behandlung der betroffenen Patienten essenziell. In den letzten 15 Jahren wurden zunehmende Kenntnisse der Biomechanik des Schultergelenks erworben und die chirurgischen Therapiemöglichkeiten, insbesondere die arthroskopischen rekonstruktiven Möglichkeiten, stetig weiterentwickelt. Die lückenlose Dokumentation der klinischen Primärbefunde und die engmaschige Verlaufsdokumentation sind für eine gutachterliche Bewertung von größter Bedeutung. Es werden die wesentlichen Aspekte, die in der Therapie von Rotatorenmanschettenläsionen Berücksichtigung finden, inklusive der damit verbundenen therapeutischen Möglichkeiten, zusammengefasst.
