Zusammenfassung

Die chronische und terminale Niereninsuffizienz ist mit einem allgemeinen Anstieg der Tumorinzidenz dieser Patienten assoziiert. Häufig treten Tumoren des Urogenitaltrakts, insbesondere Nierenzellkarzinome, auf. Ein Screening analog zur gesunden Normalbevölkerung durchzuführen erscheint intuitiv richtig, scheint aber nur für Patienten mit langer Lebenserwartung vorteilhaft zu sein. Die Validität der eingesetzten Screeningmethoden und die per se schon außergewöhnlich hohe Strahlenbelastung niereninsuffizienter Patienten sind hierbei limitierende Faktoren. Für Patienten mit Transplantationswunsch kann das Auftreten eines Prätransplanttumors schwerwiegende Folgen haben und eine Verlängerung der Wartezeit oder sogar die Unmöglichkeit der Transplantation bedeuten. Die größte Herausforderung in dieser Situation ist die Festlegung der notwendigen tumorfreien Wartezeit vor einer Transplantation.
