Thrombolytic treatment with intravenous (i.v.) recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rtPA) is effective for acute ischemic stroke, but neurologists might be reluctant to perform it in patients with mild and/or unusual symptoms. We report a case of a young patient, without any vascular risk factors, who presented with an acute vertical gaze palsy and was treated successfully with i.v. thrombolysis. …
