Zusammenfassung

Meningeosis neoplastica, ein Befall von Liquor und Hirnhäuten, ist eine seltene, aber schwerwiegende Komplikation von Tumorerkrankungen. Sie führt häufig innerhalb weniger Wochen bis Monate zum Tode. In Einzelfällen und bei bestimmten Tumorarten sind allerdings erfreuliche Stabilisierungen über längere Zeiträume möglich. Deshalb sollte die Therapie sorgfältig auf die individuelle Situation der Patienten abgestimmt sein.
