Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Due to Xanthoma of the Prostate After Kidney Transplantation: A Case Report
2020, Transplantation ProceedingsCitation Excerpt :It is noteworthy that this condition, whose pathogenesis remains unclear, has been also reported in an immunosuppressive background [8]. Although most verruciform xanthomas occur in otherwise healthy people, several cases have been reported in the setting of immunosuppression: bone marrow transplant recipients [6,9,10], in an HIV-1+ patient with diffuse psoriasiform skin disease [11], a renal transplant patient [12], and a combined hepato-renal transplantation [8]. The appearance of dermatologic lesions in renal transplant recipients is not rare [13].

2003, Oral OncologyCitation Excerpt :Two clinically identical, bilateral lesions were noted at the junction of hard/soft palate both of which proved to be VXs. Allen and Kapoor [30] described another case of VX of the lower lip in a patient with GvHD. Mostafa et al. [85] reported two cases with lesions appearing under, and 4 years after, chemo- and radiotherapy of malignant lymphomas.
