Differential cerebrovascular CO<inf>2</inf> reactivity in anterior and posterior cerebral circulations
2013, Respiratory Physiology and NeurobiologyCitation Excerpt :For example, Hida et al. (1996) found no differences between the BA and MCA across hypocapnic, normocapnic and hypercapnic ranges. However, they reported only relative reactivity values for the BA and MCA (2.8%/Torr CO2 and 2.7%/Torr CO2, respectively; Hida et al., 1996), which were slightly lower than our reported values. For comparison with studies using steady-state tests, our measurements for relative reactivity are similar to those of Sato et al. (2012; 2.29%/Torr and 3.31%/Torr for the BA and MCA, respectively), Willie et al. (2012; 3.0%/Torr CO2 and 2.9%/Torr CO2 for PCA and MCA, respectively) and Park et al. (2003; 2.54%/Torr CO2 and 2.51%/Torr CO2 for BA and MCA, respectively).
