2022, Magnetic Resonance Imaging Clinics of North AmericaCitation Excerpt :The term synovial hemangioma should be reserved for the intra-articular and intermediate subtypes.28 They predominantly occur in the knee, but have also been reported in the elbow, wrist, ankle, and temporomandibular joints.28–30 Symptoms are nonspecific and include pain, swelling, limited range of motion, and spontaneous hemarthrosis, often resulting in delayed diagnosis and the risk of articular damage secondary to recurrent hemarthrosis.14,28
