This anomalous vessel is frequently accompanied by other vascular anomalies such as carotid agenesis, fused pericallosal arteries and plexiform AComA complex [8,10,14,17,21,23,25–31]. An infraoptic course of ACA is rarely accompanied by tumors or congenital cranial abnormalities such as abnormal gyral segmentations and craniofacial abnormalities [3,10,32–37]. The association with PTAV in our patient may be incidental or may reflect the proposed faulty embryogenesis of both conditions during the craniocerebral vascularization [18,38–40].
