I read with interest the article by Urato and Repke (Urato AC, Repke JT. May-Hegglin anomaly: A case of vaginal delivery when both mother and fetus are affected. Am J Obstet Gynecol 1998;179:260-1). May-Hegglin anomaly is a hereditary disease characterized by marked thrombocytopenia with giant platelets, and a mild bleeding tendency.
