Then, we further investigated the levels of several lysosome related genes, including CSTA, CSTD, CLCN7 and Mcoln1, which were crucial to maintain the function of the lysosome (Berdowska, 2004; Rasanen et al., 1978; Stauber, Jentsch, 2013; Dong et al., 2008; Hentze et al., 2004). The results from qRT-PCR illustrated a prominent decline of mRNA levels of lysosome related genes in AgNPs-treated HEK293T and A498 cells at 4 and 8 μg mL−1, especially at 8 μg mL−1 (Fig. 6B & S. Fig. 12).
