MRI of intestinal endometriosis
2021, Best Practice and Research: Clinical Obstetrics and GynaecologyCitation Excerpt :Abdominal strapping is recommended in the evaluation of pelvic endometriosis. The purpose is to reduce artefact caused by respiratory movement and it has been recommended to apply and to fasten the belt at the end of expiration [40,41].

2017, Imagerie de la FemmeDeep infiltrating endometriosis: Should rectal and vaginal opacification be systematically used in MR imaging?
2016, Gynecologie Obstetrique et FertiliteCitation Excerpt :MRI is considered in the literature as the best noninvasive imaging method to confirm the diagnosis of DIE and to give a precise mapping of the lesions before surgery [7–9]. Nevertheless, the MRI protocol used to explore DIE is different depending on the institutions especially in term of vaginal or rectal filling [8,10,11]. The purpose of this study was to determine if rectal and vaginal filling was necessary to evaluate vagina and recto-sigmoid endometriosis and to compare if the results were different between a senior and a junior radiologist.
