2022, Musculoskeletal Science and PracticeCitation Excerpt :Factors influencing carpal tunnel pressure (CTP) have been broadly investigated and the results of which have shown that the CTP varies widely among individuals. However, the CTP has been found higher in CTS patients than in healthy individuals and varies with wrist posture, wrist activities, and finger movements (Lee et al., 2016; Goss and Agee, 2010; Ikeda et al., 2006; Hamanaka et al., 1995; Luchetti et al., 1989; Seradge et al., 1995). In the early stage of CTS, symptoms can often be relieved with conservative treatments, such as medication, rehabilitation programs, or wearing a splint.
