2016, Alzheimer's and DementiaCitation Excerpt :Even if people in the second group and people in the third group are very similar to each other (which we strongly doubt but do not know), and even if such studies ascertain how easy or difficult it was for participants to come to the clinic, these results are not typically used in analytic plans to try to address the challenges that arise from the data from the third group that are MNAR. These considerations may be responsible for some of the important differences identified in results from specialty clinic convenience samples compared with those from population-based studies [19,20], although the relevance of home study visit capacity had not been previously emphasized. An intriguing possibility is raised by our finding in section 1 that needing help with shopping performed similarly to home versus clinic study visits.
