Dr. Lawrence A. Yannuzzi is the director and founder of the LuEsther T. Mertz Retinal Research Center of the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Institute. He is also professor of clinical ophthalmology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and the founder of The Macula Foundation, Inc., which has distributed over $20 million for research and teaching. He has authored nearly 300 scientific articles and several textbooks on retinal and macular diseases.
