Furthermore, there are some previous reports of recurrences of TLVD syndrome with variant forms (midventricular form as a recurrence of typical apical ballooning and vice versa), suggesting a homogeneous ventricular adrenoreceptor density.22,23 These findings are strong arguments against the hypothesis that variations of the anatomical location of cardiac adrenergic receptors are responsible for the AB and the MB variant.
