Sensitive and high-throughput polyclonal antibody-based serological methods for rice stripe virus detection in both rice and small brown planthopper
2021, Crop ProtectionCitation Excerpt :To date, numerous detection methods have been developed for RSV. These methods include enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) (Zhen et al., 2004), immunogold labeling (Suzuki et al., 2009), reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) (Li et al., 2015; Zhang et al., 2008), reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (Le et al., 2010), quantitative RT-PCR (Zhang et al., 2008), and colloidal gold-based immunochromatographic strips (Huang et al., 2019). However, these detection technologies require highly trained staff to operate them; Furthermore, they are suitable only for either rice seedlings or SBPHs, and are not convenient for large-scale detection in the two hosts (rice and SBPHs) in wild fields.
