Summary:

From the beginning of 1973 to the end of 1994 we have experienced 928 cases (male 637 and female 291) of subclinical urethral senosis (S.U.S.) (ring and minivalves). The results of clinical statistics concerning the significance of S.U.S. are as follows: 1) the main symptoms of S.U.S. are UTI (cystitis/epididymitis and pyelonephritis) and voiding dysfunction (enuresis and urgency); difficulty on urination is only exceptional; 2) S.U.S. may exacerbate VUR or enuresis, and delay their spontaneous resolutions; 3) the improvement of symptoms after minor surgeries for S.U.S. were observed in 67.2% of the cases.
