Zusammenfassung

Die Femurfraktur bei einliegender Hüfttotalendoprothese gilt als dritthäufigste postoperative Komplikation. Sie tritt im klinischen Alltag zunehmend häufiger in Erscheinung. Betroffen sind in der Regel ältere Risikopatienten bei denen das Femur zum Teil schon mehrfach voroperiert worden ist. An Hand der Literatur und den eigenen Erfahrungen an 15 Fällen werden, unter Zuhilfenahme eines Einteilungsschemas, Therapievorschläge für die unterschiedlichen Frakturtypen unterbreitet. Unter Berücksichtigung der individuellen Situation des Patienten sind, bei der meist notwendigen operativen Therapie, gute Ergebnisse zu erzielen.

Abstract

The postoperative fracture of the femur following total hip arthroplasty ranks third in occuring complications and the number of such cases is increasing. Most of the patients are elderly and multi-morbid and the fractured femur had undergone previous operations. Using the literature our own experience in 15 cases and applying a fracture classification we make suggestions for treatment of the different fracture types. Considering the patients overall health it's possible to obtain good results in the operative therapy which was necessary in most cases of these femur fractures.
