Zusammenfassung

Die hier vorgestellte Operationstechnik der Kapsulorhexis ermöglicht es, die vordere Linsenkapsel mit völlig glattem, in sich geschlossenem und kreisrundem Rande zu eröffnen. Die Technik besteht im Prinzip in einem exakt kontrollierten kontinuierlichen Rißvorgang (Rhexis); als Instrument wird lediglich eine scharfe, vorn abgewinkelte Einmalkanüle benötigt. Das Verfahren ist reproduzierbar, von geringem instrumentellem Aufwand, mit allen gegenwärtigen Techniken der extrakapsulären Kataraktchirurgie kompatibel und schließlich verlustfrei erlernbar.

Summary

Kapsulorhexis is a surgical technique for opening the anterior lens capsule with a circular, smoothedged and continuous margin. Basically, the technique consists of a precisely controlled continuous capsular tear (rhexis), using only a sharp disposable needle with a bent tip. The method is reproducible, requires minimal instrumentation, is compatible with all current techniques of extracapsular surgery, and can be learned at no risk.
