Freeze-Thaw Lysis for Extraction of Proteins from Mammalian Cells

INTRODUCTION
This protocol describes the extraction of proteins from mammalian cells grown in 6- or 10-cm tissue-culture dishes. It is useful for making very concentrated extracts for Western blotting, and is particularly helpful when low-abundance proteins such as Myc are being studied.
