Former paediatrician thought he was “bomb proof” against sex charges, court hears

A former consultant paediatrician raped and indecently assaulted girls in the 1970s and 1980s, in the belief that he was “bomb proof” because no one would believe the alleged victims, a jury heard at the opening of his trial at Reading Crown Court for historical sex offences.
