2018, PancreatologyCitation Excerpt :IPMN were histologically classified into four distinct types (gastric, intestinal, pancreatobiliary, or oncocytic) according to the results of hematoxylin and eosin staining and immunohistochemical reactivity for anti-mucin antibodies (MUC1/MUC2/MUC5AC/MUC6). PDAC concomitant with IPMN was defined by the simultaneous detection of these two tumors with no histological transition between them [9]. In the present study, we collected information prospectively using a preoperative questionnaire just before surgical resection.
