초록

본 연구는 실존적 영적안녕감이 인터넷 사용에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 그 과정에서 자아존중감과 우울의 매개효과를 검증하기 위하여 대구시 소재 34개의 중․고등학생 3666명의 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실존적 영적안녕감이 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴본 결과, 실존적 영적안녕감이 높은 청소년일수록 인터넷 중독이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 우울이 실존적 영적안녕감과 인터넷 중독의 관계를 매개하는 것이 확인되어 실존적 영적안녕감이 인터넷 중독에 직접적인 영향을 끼칠 뿐만 아니라 우울을 통해 인터넷 중독에 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 실존적 영적안녕감은 자아존중감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 자아존중감은 인터넷 중독에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 자아존중감이 우울에 영향을 미치나 자아존중감과 우울이 실존적 영적안녕감과 인터넷 중독의 관계를 순차적으로 매개하지는 않는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 본 연구의 시사점과 의의, 제한점과 추후 연구방향을 제시하였다.
