In a recent article, Olivier et al.[1] reported that the incidence of hospital admissions for adverse drug reactions (ADRs) was 6.1 per 100 admissions (95% CI 4.4–8.3) in a French emergency department. Furthermore, at least a third of all ADRs were considered as being preventable.[1] We would like to report briefly the results of a prospective survey assessing the incidence and preventability of ADRs leading to hospital visits in primary care and emergency departments. …
